Mark 6:6-13 / Luke 9:58 – Jesus sends out the twelve

‘What if God’s plan for you is BETTER than your plan for you?’

1. We are BETTER together
   ‘Friendship is when two people journey together towards a common horizon.’

Jesus called them to Himself and sent them out two by two.

2. BATTLE GROUND, not a playground
‘How to suit up for every situation.’

The key to our inheritance lies in trusting Him better, not trying harder.

We make the assumption that our inheritance is in our earthly possessions – but maybe Jesus is teaching us more about dependability, rather than sustainability.

3. Born not just to breathe, but for BREAKTHROUGH
‘Living with expectant faith.’

“Then they were on the road. They preached with joyful urgency that life can be radically different; right and left they sent the demons packing; they brought wellness to the sick, anointing their bodies, healing their spirits.”

Healing and freedom is our portion – this is breakthrough (Isaiah 42)

FAITH is our inheritance. Faith is the key that unlocks the door – “According to your faith… it will be don to you” Matt 9:29 

Hebrews 11:1 – Faith is EXPECTING THE BEST… the confident assurance that God is in control of the future – and my future and his plans for me are better than my plans for me. Why? because HE LOVES ME.

Question: what does it look like to live a ‘radically different life’? To live with expectant faith?
