1. EVERYTHING STARTS IN THE SPIRIT.
“Everything that is now seen, was once invisible”
“In the beginning … And the Spirit was hovering … “
IN THE WORLD SYSTEM WE ARE FIRST FLESH, THEN SPIRIT.
IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD, WE ARE FIRST SPIRIT – THEN FLESH.
Faith is a Spirit thing – it’s the gateway that gives us access to our God given inheritance.
2. DON’T LET THE DREAM DIE.
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for.. “
[ H O P E ] : Expectation / Dreams / Desires for a particular possibility.
HOPE SETS THE BORDERS + BOUNDARIES OF THE ARENA OF FAITH, IN WHICH WE LIVE.
“Everything that is now seen, was once invisible”
[GOD GIVES DESIRES / DREAMS … FAITH GIVES ACCESS!]
In the book of Samuel, we’re told that Eli (the priests sons) had wandered from the things of God, and pursued selfish desires. We read, “that in those days DREAMS + VISIONS were scarce” (there was no hope / reason for existence).
Faith can’t function where there is no hope.
so God raises up a prophet by the name of Samuel, who starts to see again.
(What took away your hope? When did you stop dreaming?)
3. CLEVER WON’T CUT IT.
[GODS PLEASURE IS NOT IN THE FINISHED PRODUCT]
“By faith .. the elders obtained a good report“
“By faith .. enoch pleased God, for it is impossible to please God (bring Him pleasure) without FAITH”
4. FAITH NEVER GOES OUTTA STYLE.
“Faith comes by hearing – hearing by the word of GOD”
“Faith comes by hearing” – you’ve got to protect what you hear.
so many of us self sabotaging our future because we’ve got the flesh track in our ears!
Question: What does it look like to step into faith and access GOD-DREAMS again? How do we practically stir up faith and guard our ears?
