Points:
1. BIG PEOPLE GET SONSHIP (We’re a part of God’s family)
2. BIG PEOPLE LIVE ACCORDING TO GOD’S SYSTEM (The System of Surrender)
3. BIG PEOPLE LIVE BY GOD’S ECONOMY (Everything I have is from Him)
BIG PEOPLE ARE KINGDOM PEOPLE.
Kingdom people live in God’s family by His system and His economy.
1. BIG PEOPLE LIVE LIKE THEY ARE A PART OF GOD’S FAMILY – SONSHIP
They live with a deep knowing and understanding of who they are. They know who they belong to.
Galatians 3:26
John 1: 6-13
Scripture tells us that those Christ (call upon the name of Jesus, believe in His finished work to save and complete them, entrust their lives to Him) HE GIVES THE RIGHT to be called children of God. Sons of God. Daughters of God.
John 10:28-29
We can hold onto and claim only one right with the utmost certainty – the right to be called children of God.
Ephesians 1:3-5
We have been adopted into God’s family and are invited to sit at God’s table. We are not outsiders and foreigners. We are His children.
Jesus came with one overarching purpose: to REVEAL the name ‘FATHER.’ To deposit within us a spirit of SONSHIP so we can live as BIG PEOPLE- rising above the world’s smallness.
2. BIG PEOPLE LIVE BY GOD’S SYSTEM – SURRENDER
BIG PEOPLE, KINGDOM PEOPLE, LIVE BY GOD’S SYSTEM and reject the system of the world that demands we work for our value and approval.
BIG PEOPLE have SURRENDERED hearts.
They live saying I PUT MYSELF IN YOUR POWER GOD.
You can have my talent, knowledge, ego, and best attempts to pull off anything great.
1 Peter 5:6-7
We can surrender all of ourselves to Him because He cares for us.
3. BIG PEOPLE LIVE BY GOD’S ECONOMY – SOWING
Big people know that everything they have is through and from Him. It’s all about God.
Deuteronomy 8:1-18
There are two key things here that Moses was teaching the people about God’s economy.
HE GIVES THE POWER TO OBTAIN WEALTH (KOACH- vigor, strength, capacity, wealth, means of substance)
HE ESTABLISHES THE COVENANT (MAKES THE PROMISE)
It all starts with GOD. It is all about Him. It is all from Him.
Moses reminds them that it’s God who gives them the ability – (means, power, talent, capacity, endurance) to obtain wealth – which are material blessings included within thepromises of God we see in scripture. So when they obtain it, they should humble themselves – remember God and Bless Him.
Don’t play to the world system. Surrender to God’s economy.
There is a kingdom economy, and it doesn’t work through BUYING AND SELLING.
Big people live by an economy of sowing and reaping. They sow seeds.
