HEAR HIM (VISION SUNDAY 1.0) – DYLAN JAHNIG
Scriptures:
Matthew 17:1-8 (NKJV)
Isaiah 2:3 (NIV)
2 Peter 1:16-21 (NIV)
Romans 3:20-23 (NIV)
Points:
1. Sacred Sundays
2. Great Grace
3. Fearless Faith
“If you can hear you can listen, if you can listen you can speak.”
“HEAR HIM,” is not just a phrase; it is a divine calling for each one of us to prioritize listening and responding to God’s voice in our lives.
The foundations of a life that hears God, listens to God and then speaks with authority in the this world are:
1. SACRED SUNDAYS
Isaiah 2:3 – there is no higher ground than the local House of God.
Mountains are a place of encounter – the church is a sanctuary, a place of encounter with God.
As we prioritise Sundays, let us recognise it as the highest of hills, a sacred space where we come with a holy expectation to meet with our Father and hear Him.
2.GREAT GRACE
Romans 3 – as we hear Him this year we remind ourselves it’s a faith journey. In Jesus our righteousness is given (our right-standing with God) – our relationship – our access. God’s grace transcends human abilities and expectations.
3. FEARLESS FAITH
2 Peter 1 – With the revelation of Grace, comes fearless faith. We are called to ascend the mountain, hear the Word, and live in faith. The “HEAR HIM declaration” is a starting point for our community to lean into God’s voice, letting go of fear and embracing the new year with confidence and authenticity.
2024 DECLARATION:
This year, we will lean into His voice like never before.
As a community of faith, in the name of JESUS and by His grace. We will hold our ears close to His heart.
We will listen for the whisper, the stirring, the still small voice, the WORD.
We choose now, today, every day – to believe that what He has to say is more important than anything that this world offers.
More important than our next meeting, our next post, our next paycheque, our next conversation.
More important than our daily grind and more important than our biggest dreams. We choose to HEAR HIM.
We declare that we would be known as a people who love His word, walk in His ways, and whose faith, hope and love are contagious to this WORLD.
We declare that we will stand firm in the valleys and on the mountain tops – sure of our identity that comes
from the voice of Heaven.
We declare a year of great humility and unprecedented favour.
We declare a year of great growth and even greater grace.
We declare that by His word, the valleys would be raised up, and the mountains would be made low.
We declare that what lies before us as His people is far greater than anything we leave behind and far more beautiful than anything we could ever imagine.
We declare that by His voice, a generational blessing will be released, and even greater anointing will flow through the family of God.
We declare that peace will rule and reign in our hearts.
And so we say, “Our hearts are open, God, our spirits alive and expectant for you to move like never before.
SPEAK LORD – WE’RE LISTENING.
SAY THE WORD AND THAT WILL BE ENOUGH.
