Linc Worship: Courts 4-Day Devotional

Day One: “Praise Him”

Scripture:
“Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion.” – Psalm 103:2-4

When we take a moment to look at all that God has done, our natural response can only be one of praise. The lyrics of Praise Him call us to recognize and remember the great acts of deliverance, victory, and faithfulness God has shown throughout history—and in our own lives.

“Praise Him who broke your shackles off clean, praise Him who made your enemies flee…”
When we think of the freedom Christ has won for us, how can we not respond with praise? He has broken the chains of sin and fear, setting us free to live in His grace. The walls that once confined us—doubt, shame, and guilt—have been torn down, and we stand in the liberty that only Jesus can provide.

“Our God is so worthy, faithful throughout all history…”
The faithfulness of God spans all of history. From the beginning, He has been faithful to His people, and He has never failed. He’s the God who parted the sea, brought down Jericho’s walls, and led His people through the wilderness. In Christ, He remains the God who rescues and redeems, proving time and again that He is worthy of our praise.

“Praise Him who rolled the tombstone away, praise Him who called you out of that grave…”
The greatest reason we have to praise is the resurrection of Jesus. Death could not hold Him, and because He lives, we too have life. He not only freed us from our sins but also called us into new life—eternal life. This victory over death is the foundation of our hope and joy, a reason to continually lift our voices in thanksgiving.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What has God set you free from that you can praise Him for today?
  2. How has God been faithful in your life, even in the hardest moments?
  3. What does the resurrection of Jesus mean to you personally, and how can you live in that freedom?

Prayer:
Lord, we come before You with hearts full of praise and thanksgiving. Thank You for breaking every chain, for defeating sin and death, and for calling us into Your freedom. We declare that You are worthy of all honour and glory, for You have never failed us. As we remember Your faithfulness and the victory of Jesus, may our lives be a continual song of praise to Your name. Amen.

Day Two: “All You Do is Win”

Scripture:
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” – Romans 8:31

When we face battles in life, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Yet the truth in All You Do is Win reminds us of one powerful reality: God has never lost, and He never will. His victory is our confidence, His power our assurance, and His presence our peace.

“Strongholds fall down like sandcastles when You move…”
There’s nothing too strong for God. The things that seem immovable in our lives—strongholds of fear, doubt, or pain—are like sandcastles before His mighty power. They crumble when God steps in. We are reminded that no enemy can stand in His presence; His victory is total and complete.

“There’s no need to worry, cause God’s work’s not through…”
Even when circumstances look difficult, we can rest in the knowledge that God is still working. The challenges we face are not the end of the story. God’s plan is unfolding, and His victory is sure. We never lose because He fights for us. Our giants—whether they be fears, obstacles, or uncertainties—are brought to their knees by His strength.

“Darkness crawls out the door as Your Spirit moves…”
The presence of God drives out darkness. Wherever He is, there is light, freedom, and hope. When God is in the picture, we don’t just see obstacles—we see opportunities for His glory. Every battle becomes a chance for Him to display His power and for us to stand in awe of His ability to turn every situation for our good.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What strongholds in your life do you need to trust God to tear down?
  2. How does knowing that God always wins impact the way you face challenges?
  3. In what areas of your life do you need to remember that God’s work is not through?

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being the God who always wins. We trust that no matter the battles we face, You are fighting for us, and victory is sure. Tear down the strongholds in our lives and help us to walk in the freedom and confidence of Your power. We know that You are not finished yet, and You are working all things for our good. We praise You for Your unfailing strength and faithful love. Amen.

Day Three: “Courts”

Scripture:
“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” – Psalm 100:4

Worship is the gateway into God’s presence, and Courts beautifully captures the experience of drawing near to Him with praise and thanksgiving. As we enter His courts, we are met with His love, grace, and the sweetness of His presence. In this place of communion, everything else fades, and we are reminded of God’s unchanging goodness.

“I enter Your courts with praise and thanksgiving, Your love meets me here…”
The act of worship brings us into God’s courts, where His love embraces us. No matter what we’ve been through, His forgiveness and grace are there to welcome us. When we praise, we shift our focus from our circumstances to the goodness of God. His love holds our hearts, offering peace and comfort beyond understanding.

“Your grace it is sweet, Your presence is sweeter…”
There is something deeply intimate about being in God’s presence. His grace—freely given and undeserved—is sweet, but His nearness is even sweeter. As we spend time in His courts, we feel Him drawing closer, speaking to us in the stillness, reminding us that He is always near.

“Hallelujah… Your breath within me leads me to singing…”
Worship flows naturally when we are filled with God’s Spirit. It is His breath within us that stirs up melodies of praise. When we are drenched in His light and His love, our hearts can’t help but respond with songs of gratitude. Worship becomes not just something we do, but an expression of who we are—people in communion with the living God.

Reflection Questions:

  1. How can you make time to enter God’s presence with praise and thanksgiving in your daily life?
  2. What difference does it make when you start your day by focusing on God’s love and grace?
  3. How have you experienced the sweetness of God’s presence in your own life?

Prayer:
Lord, we enter Your courts with praise and thanksgiving, grateful for Your love and grace that meet us there. Thank You for holding our hearts and drawing near to us. May our lives be filled with worship, responding to Your sweet presence. Let Your voice guide us, and may we always sing of Your goodness. Hallelujah, Lord—you are worthy of all glory and honour. Amen.

Day Four: “More Than Enough”

Scripture:
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19

In a world filled with endless pursuits—whether it’s success, wealth, relationships, or fulfillment—it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters. The lyrics of More Than Enough remind us of this truth: when we chase the treasures of this world, we often end up lost, missing the greater treasure we already have in Jesus.

“When we failed to see where we were going, and the treasure of this world got in our way…”
These words describe the common experience of being sidetracked by worldly distractions. We search endlessly for satisfaction, yet in that search, Jesus appears around every corner, patiently waiting for us to realize that He alone is what our hearts truly long for.

“All we need is found in You, Jesus.”
What a powerful declaration! Jesus is more than enough for every area of our lives. In Him, we find not just what we need, but more—grace, love, hope, strength, and purpose. When we know that Jesus satisfies every need, we can stop searching elsewhere.

“We’re content on the road set before us…”
Contentment is a rare gift, especially in a world that constantly tells us we need more. But in Christ, we find the joy and peace to walk the path He sets before us. Trusting His every move, we no longer have to strive for something else. The search is over because we’ve found everything in Him.

Reflection Questions:

  1. What areas of your life are you still searching for fulfillment outside of Christ?
  2. How can you trust Jesus more deeply as your provider and guide?
  3. In what ways has God shown you that He is more than enough for you?

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being all that we need. Forgive us for the times when we search for fulfillment outside of You. Help us to rest in Your presence and trust that You are more than enough for every situation we face. Fill our hearts with contentment, knowing that in You, we lack nothing. Guide us on the path You have set before us, and let us live with the assurance that You are the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.
