Sunday Stories: The Grace in Which We Stand

Scriptures:
Romans 5

“Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God… and we now stand in grace.” Romans 5:1–2

There is a grace in which we stand. Not a grace we visit on Sundays. Not a grace we hope for when things fall apart. But a constant, unshakable, undeserved foundation that we live from – every moment, every day.

This is the invitation of Romans 5. To stand in a new reality. One where we are no longer at war with God, no longer trying to earn His affection, but welcomed as sons and daughters. And from that posture of peace, purpose begins to unfold.

At Linc, we’ve sensed a stirring: God is reminding His Church – both locally and globally – of what it means to truly live from grace. To build from a place of belonging. To raise families in faith. To dream again with heaven’s blueprints in hand.

Recently, a team from our church traveled to the United States to attend the Orange Conference, visit Highlands College, and glean from some of the most vibrant churches shaping generations today. But what started as a trip turned into a prophetic moment – a reminder that God’s hand is on the story we’re living and the future we’re building.

We saw firsthand that when the Church partners with families, the future begins to shift. That it’s not just pastors who shape destinies – but parents. That it’s not just sermons that change hearts – but the simple words spoken around dinner tables, at bedtime, and in car rides home from school.

Because words create worlds. And we’ve been given the authority and the privilege to speak life into the next generation.

One of the biggest takeaways from the trip? It’s time to dream bigger. Not for the sake of ambition – but for the sake of assignment. We felt the Spirit igniting even greater vision for a local college right here on the North Coast. A space where young people would not only be educated for business, leadership, and ministry – but discipled for life. A space where their purpose is unearthed, their identity anchored, and their future shaped in the presence of God.

We’re calling it what it is: a Jehovah Jireh place. Not just a name of God – but a location of provision. A space where the grace of God meets the needs of His people. A place where dreams and destinies collide. A place where generations rise.

And here’s what we know: nothing is random with God. Every connection, every moment, every conversation is soaked in meaning. That guitar played on a small stage 14 years ago? Not random. That quiet coffee shop prayer asking for vision? Not random. The new families walking into church and wondering if this is the place they should plant their lives? Not random.

God is orchestrating something sacred.

So what’s our response?

We plant our feet. We open our mouths. We speak life. We back each other in faith. We build with vision. And we trust that the seeds we sow today will become the trees our children climb tomorrow.

We believe that this grace in which we stand isn’t just enough for us—it’s more than enough for generations to come.

Final Thought:

Maybe you’re reading this and wondering if your life fits in a story like this. It does.

Maybe you’re praying for a child to come home, or for clarity about your future. Maybe you’re wondering if the words you’re speaking are working. They are. They’re seeds. And every seed sown in grace bears fruit in time.

So plant yourself. Speak with courage. Dream with God.

This is holy ground.
This is a Jehovah Jireh place.
And this is the grace in which we stand.

Activation:

  • Faith: You are not standing on your own strength—you’re standing in grace. Faith isn’t the absence of weakness; it’s the presence of trust in a faithful God.
    • This Week: Each morning, declare: “I am standing in grace. I walk by faith, not by feelings. God’s strength is made perfect in my weakness.”
  • Family: God places the lonely in families—and families in the center of His plan. You’re not just raising children; you’re raising kingdom carriers.
    • This Week: Around the table or at bedtime, ask: “Where did you see God today?” Let it spark conversation, connection, and spiritual curiosity in your home.
  • Future: Your future is not random—it’s provident. God is positioning people, places, and provision in ways you can’t yet see.
    • This Week: Write down a future dream or desire that feels out of reach. Then write these words over it: “Jehovah Jireh—the Lord will provide.” Pray into it and take one small step of trust.
